A philosophy of technology is mainly a critical reflection on technology from the point of view of the main chapters of philosophy, e.g., metaphysics, epistemology and ethics.

Bunge recognizes that technology is about the process. According to Bunge, there are two forms of technology: substantive theories that include awareness of the object of operation and operative approaches that deal with the action itself.
