Detailed A01 + A03

This is an essay plan for the description and evaluation of long-term memory. I finished my a levels a year ago and achieved 3 A*s and am now in Oxford University. These essay plans are laid out with the description/AO1 of the topic on the first page, and evaluation/AO3 of the topic on the second page. These essay plans also include definitions of keywords, specific studies and detailed evaluations guaranteed to achieve marks in band 4 (13-16 marks).

These notes both go into detail and keep the information simple about types of long term memory. These notes were written in 2022.

This is a little quiz to consolidate your understanding on the types of LTM, what they are as well as being able to give examples of the types.

This detailed essay plan has 4 main points that construct the 4 paragraphs for your essay. Each paragraph follows a point, evidence, explanation (P. E.E.) technique with support studies (e.g Tulving brain scans, Corkin 2002) and further evaluation of the results. The main focus of the points are AO3. The plan is very detailed and is close to a fully developed essay of a top level response. It was written with the help of the AQA A-level Psychology textbook and my class notes.

Aesthetically pleasing notes on long term memory, including procedural (skills and priming) and declarative (semantic and episodic). Also includes the cellular basis of memory, including Hebb's Law, long-term potentiation, and consolidation period.
