spanning from popular YA fiction to classics!)

Title: Jane and Rochie: Written in the Stars? Analysing the star signs and compatibility of
Jane Eyre and Mr Rochester, from Charlotte Bronte’s Jane Eyre.
Content: I will explore the big three signs for Jane Eyre and Mr Rochester and then I will
then use these to construct a compatibility analysis. I may also allocate a sun sign to some of
the smaller characters (e.g. Adele, Mrs Fairfax, Bertha Mason…)
Jane sun: Virgo. (Logical and hardworking in their life approach; isn’t afraid to improve
through diligent and consistent practice; hyper-aware of detail; deals with information like a
computer; practical helper; excellent teachers and healers; overly critical of self and others;
all work no play; dislikes taking center stage; tender heart often closed to the world; doesn’t
lack the ability to express, just won’t accept feelings as relevant when opposed to reason.)
Jane moon: Scorpio. (Feelings come with a strong current; lots of tough emotional
lessons; loyal; exudes a trustworthiness that draws people into your confidence; few
people can make you feel safe enough to reveal your emotions; when it comes to desire,
you’re hot or you’re not; hard person to get to know; loyal and loving; calm advisor in
times of stress.)
Jane ascendent: Virgo. (described as organised, put together, and reliable; natural caregiver;
good at prioritising things in order of importance; tend to intellectualize, analyse, and
question everything; down to earth and rational; likes order and routine; losing
control is unthinkable to lose control; disciplined; super-efficient professionally; nit-
pick too much.)
Rochie sun: Gemini. (Gentle; curious; ability to learn quickly and exchange ideas; likes;
music, book, and chatting; dislikes being confined; expressive and quick-witted; sociable and
fun with a tendency to suddenly get thoughtful and restless; fascinated with the world
itself.)
Rochie moon: Sagittarius (Loves deep, philosophical conversation; strong opinions;
passion to travel the world; temper can flare up quickly; sharp B.S. detector; security
comes from knowing you can move about at will, without having to answer to anyone
else’s demands; thirst for knowledge and learning; the entertaining & spontaneous
life of the party; their decisions, sometimes reckless, can be damaging to themselves
and others.)
Rochie ascendant: Aries. (Comes across as brave, opinionated and independent; strong and
commanding presence; potentially intimidating; competitive; asks for forgiveness not
permission; impatient and impulsive; curious and quick-witted; often act on impulse
and forge full-speed ahead; loathe routine and always have new ideas for spicing up
, your daily life; have trouble following rules. You need to to go off the beaten path,
and, in love, to be blown away.)
Compatibility: Virgo sun - confidant must be intelligent enough to help parse through
layered, multi-dimensional experience; rich inner life, so can go long periods of time
being solitary, and then suddenly end up in a soul-stirring partnership that lasts a
lifetime; puts their needs above others. Gemini sun - feels their other half is missing,
forever seeking their other half to talk to; sees love first through verbal contact; when they
find the right lover they will be faithful and determined to always treasure their heart. Both
Gemini and Virgo are governed by Mercury, the messenger planet of communication; only
Gemini expresses emotionally externally, whereas Virgo processes internally.
