Tablet Computers
Tablet computers are available in all different sizes and prices, each coming with different
features which I will later talk about. Some of the more current ones that are popular
Microsoft Surface Pro 4, HP Pro State 8, NVidia Shield K1, iPad Air 2, Google Pixel C,
Samsung Galaxy Tab S2, mostly . All of these tablets each have their own advantages and
disadvantages for a graphical work however most of them in general have similar features
such as the

Features
The main one is the size of the tablet. Now most of the modern tablets are getting bigger
with the main sizes be 4 by 5 inch and 6 by 8 inch. This is ideal for graphical and illustrative
users as it allows more surface space for them to move there stylus more freely and their
arms or in general having more drawing space. Of course with bigger screen size means
more resolution and pixels to allow for the display to show high quality images.

Another critical feature for computer tablets are its Input and Outputs, many of these
tablets come with a headphone jack and USB C which is universal and compatible with most
computers, this can then allow designers to transfer their work more easily. With some
more popular tablets having docking and keyboard stations which means it’s easier to use
for the user as they can type numbers and letters quicker than the touch screen keyboard.

An important feature for people especially doing graphical work would be pressure
sensitivity which refers to the pressure of the tablets surface. The pressure sensors most
tablets have with them are 256, 512 and 1024 pressure levels, the higher the level of
pressure sensitivity the more responsive the tablet computer will feel and you have better
controlling. Pressure sensitivity can be controlled by the user’s finger or a stylus and
normally the user can control the thickness or lines and brushes, colour and transparency.
For example if a person is using Adobe Photoshop and drawing an image they can control
how large the brush and line is by a hard touch or light touch.

Most tablets such as iPad 2 have free cloud storage such as iCloud were they can backup
important images, sound and video files they might need to transfer to other tablets or
computers via iTunes. A graphical designer would create different images whether they be
raster or vector on a regular basis and will need to transfer them quickly via different
devices so cloud storage provided the company who makes the tablet is a necessity.
However cloud storage can work both ways where you can import and export files. Cloud
storage also reduces the inputs needed for the device as the tablet won’t need extra wires
to transfer data

The main feature that almost all tablets have is Cameras, these can range in different
megapixels from 4 megapixels minimum to 16 megapixels and even further. Also most
tablet computers come with Front and back facing cameras with generally the back facing
