“Evaluate to what extent is the implementation of environmental law
associated with sustainable development across the globe"
Sustainable development could be defined as an approach to fabricate economic
planning which has an objective to promote economic growth with the preservation of
the quality of the environment for the future generation. The speculation of the
implementation of international environmental law and its association with sustainable
development achievement goals across the globe plays a role simultaneously.
Environmental law could be considered as an unparalleled law that has been
implemented within a legal framework to ensure the protection of the natural resources
effectively and efficiently, also could be revealed in a befitted economical approach, in
turn, that will pave the way towards sustainable development.1Sustainable development
could be assured as an affirmative area of human existence that has multifarious
aspects to increase productivity with science and technology by proper implementation
of environmental law.2 The development procedure also amplified by satisfying the
existing needs without compromising the potentiality of future generations to bring off
their needful (WCED)3. The expedition of the environmental law started from 5th June
1972 with The United Nations Stockholm Conference on the Human Environment, at
the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP).4 In this essay the concept of the
sustainability that could be ensured by the implementation of environmental law which
has been formulated with the various treaty, Constitutional amendment and
Environmental Justice, will be discussed from a different perspective, also, in different
countries and regions, how important is to preserve the resources on the way to achieve

, the goal of sustainable development, in addition to this, how misuses of resources in
many sectors like mining, deforestation, and its consequences on the sustainable
development in some countries would be discussed with a recommendation. This essay
argues that implementation of environmental law is vigorously connected to sustainable
development around the whole world, moreover, it does emphasises that in some
countries in various sectors misapplication of resources, lack of coordination and poor
legislative application could be identified as some difficult points, that could lead to
failure despite the proper implementation of environmental law, as far as the sustainable
development is concerned.
With its excellent applicability, environmental law has demonstrated an unparalleled way
of human existence by ensuring sustainable development in many countries around the
world. At first, relevant regions and their environmental policy would be represented as
an argument to evaluate the association of this law with sustainability. However, as an
instance from human rights and peace for Bangladesh and others v government of
Bangladesh (The four river case)5 where a collaborative approach has been
demonstrated what was granted by the Court and summoned the stakeholders and the
salient features National Green Tribunal (NGT)6 of India could be used as examples in
proposing recommendations. In addition, this essay is an acknowledgement of the
argument that any judicial system should be tailored carefully to local conditions and the
International legal and judicial system.7 Many consider that the implication for
environmental regulation was in such jurisdictions some forms of resource exploitation
and pollution were within states’ are direct-controlled rather than in the hands of third
parties that the state would regulate at a distance. In recent times, the Constitution of
the Republic of Indonesia has increased levels of environmental exploitation, moreover,
