Organisatonal characteristcs
•Business structure – Ryan air operates in the public limited company but is in the private
sector. Ryan air frst started as a small company but now it’s one of the leading and cheap
flights to fly to many desinaions. Thhis organisaions deals with domesic tourist and as well
as outbound tourists.
•Business organisaton – this organisaion is verically integrated, since they sell their own
holidays on their website where the customers have a range of holidays to book from to
different holiday desinaions.
•Control – Michael O'Leary who is the CEO of Ryan air, their shareholders and also their
board of directors (trustees) have the control over the business. Ryan air has a business
structure which is the CEO who is in the top of the business. Below the CEO is the chairman
of the board and below that there are the directors of the company.
•Documentaton for business set-up – the business need to be registered at the companies’
house. Thhe business will also need an appropriate name. Thhey will also need memorandum
of associaion and also they will require an aricle of associaion.
•Liability - this organisaion has a limited liability. In a private limited company the
shareholders of the business or the owners of the business have limited liability and also
their personal assets are safe.
Financial characteristcs
•Distributon of profts-the proft Ryan air makes is shared evenly with the company’s
members. Also when Ryan air makes proft or bonus a porion of the proft is given to their
shareholders depending on how much they invested in the company.
•Source of fnance- they use the money which they raised by selling their share capital.
Thhey can increase the number of shareholders into the business so that more money is
invested in the business to make it beter. Thhey can take loans from the bank for their
business. Also they can ask their friends or families for help. Thhey can ask other companies
to sponsor their organisaion. Since their share are not offered to the public their source of
fnance can be difcult for them compared to the public companies.
•Supplying products and services- they sells package holidays, short haul desinaion to
every of their customer. Thhey also sell the flight ickets cheap compared to other airlines.
Thhey also fly to more than 33 countries around the world giving their customers to choose
from a wide range of desinaions to go too.
