P4In this task, I will be evaluating a training programme and I will be looking at how effective it is and what
points it has covered. I will be looking

1 In the Health & Safety training, 10 people from the organisational department will take
part. The budget is £130 for the external trainer and the food and drinks. I think that the
business will be getting good value for the money, as the training will be for only 10
people and they will not be spending a lot of money on food and drinks. Moreover, as
the health & safety training is extremely important, in order to provide safe working
environment, the money spent on the training will be worth it. Hiring trainer will cost
only £80 of the budget, which is very affordable price for qualified trainers and will be
worth it for the company to hire professional trainer to conduct such important training.
2 The main benefits of providing Health & Safety programme for the company is that their
employees will be better trained and they will understand more about health & safety
and keeping the working place safe. The company will have well trained staff, which will
stop any health & safety problems from happening and however, if something happens,
they will be able to stop it, which means that the company will be safe,
3 The main benefits of providing Health & Safety programme for the trainees is that the
will learn how to keep the working place safe for them and the other employees, they
will learn how to conduct risk assessment which will benefit them as they will be able to
assess any possible hazards and how to eliminate them, which will make the work
environment safer place. Furthermore, when the employees are trained on fire
procedures and safety evacuations, they will feel safe and happy at the work place which
will help them to perform well their duties.
4 The methods that will be used in the Health & Safety training programme are
PowerPoint, Practical exercise and video. I think that all of these methods are
appropriate for this training, because the PowerPoint will give the trainees clear idea of
the health & safety laws and how to perform their job is a safe environment, the pictures
and text will help the trainees to easily understand the training programme. The next
method is practical exercise and it is suitable because, it will show the trainees how to
use gain and use their risk assessment skills and it would be easier for them to
remember information when doing activities as they will get involved. The last delivery
method of the training programme is video and I think that it is a good selection,
because it will teach the trainees of the health & safety fire procedure. Moreover, videos
are useful as they give a lot of useful information and visually show it to the trainees, so
they can easily remember the information given to them.
5 The training programme included 3 different topics in the contents. The subjects covered
are skills needed to perform the job in a safe way, assessment skills and evacuation
procedures. All these subject are appropriate for the Health & Safety training as they all
cover vital points of the health & safety and the trainees should learn and understand all
of them. The range of subject is very good as it includes all the needed information in
order to conduct useful training programme that will provide only suitable and
appropriate information for the trainees.
6 All the subjects listed in the contents pages are covered in the training by using different
delivery methods. For example, the skills needed to perform in safe way are covered in a
PowerPoint presentation, the assessment skills are covered in practical exercise and the
evacuation procedures are covered in a video.
7 As the training was on organisational level, all the trainees attending the Health & Safety
training programme were only from the organisational level.
