, Introduction
In a general term, building design and building science is referred to as a broad term. The
term building design and building science putted a notable contribution to explore the
buildings physical behaviour. In addition, the way health, comfort, energy efficiency,
durability, safety, and many others impacted by the building is explored by the term
(Anderson, 2002). Building design and science is considered as an effective application of
built environment. Soil, weather, materials, water, and so on are different significant factors
which are required to take into account during the time of constructing a building.
Consideration of these factors supported the engineer to deal with various issue and to
construct a sustainable building. Various defect and degradations will not be determined in
the building if the engineer ensured an effective inspection during the construction.

This report is referred to as on-site inspection report where the case study of a specific
building will be selected to conduct the inspection. The case study of Upton Park is selected
for the generation of the report. Different features and materials of Upton Park will be
determined and explored by the report. Upton Park is a renowned building of the UK, which
is located at 239A Romford Rd, London E7 9HL (Jimmy, 2022). Upton Park is most eye-
catching commercial building. Different productive features and materials considered for the
construction of the building. Therefore, to inspect productive materials and features the case
study of Upton Park selected. In addition, to prepare the report it is essential to select a low-
rise building. Upton Park is a low-rise building which is another reason for selecting the case
study of Upton Park. Structural and non-structural elements of Upton Park will be determined
by the report. In addition, the researcher will inspect and explore the behaviour of the
materials of Upton Park in an organised way. Conducting an effective on-site inspection on
Upton Park is referred to as the primary aim of the report.
