Introduction




The United Kingdom government is committed to reduce the carbon emissions and to ensure
net-zero emissions by 2050 (Vaughan, 2019). It is significant to pay an attention on the

, reduction of carbon emissions in the sector of housing to influence environmental
sustainability. Climate warming pace will be reduced for the reduction of carbon emissions.
Human activity is ensured for the carbon emissions in the housing sector which ensured
carbon dioxide. Therefore, to protect the ecosystem, it is necessary to reduce the carbon
emissions. In this presentation, environmental assessment method will be selected to reduce
the carbon emissions. The sustainability rate will be defined. In addition, various strategies
will be explored to reduce carbon emissions.



Selection of Assessment Method




BREEAM is referred to as an assessment method in which scientific sustainability metrics
are considered in the way of dealing with environmental issues (Benchrifa & Mabrouki,
2022). CSH is referred to as another productive assessment method in which voluntary
national standard is considered so that environmental sustainability can be ensured. CSH is a
productive assessment method which is selected to reduce the carbon emissions. The CSH
assessment method is created for residential buildings and rating system of the method is
simple. Therefore, CHS method is selected. Level 4 is referred to as the chosen sustainability
rate.
