Grade 9 12-mark essay (full marks)
This essay was completed as practice for the GCSE examination. It was marked by my history teacher and received full marks (12/12). I have called this a "grade 9" essay because to achieve an overall grade 8-9 on the paper, your 12 and 16 mark responses must be close to full marks. The content in this essay is specific to the Early Elizabethan England course, but the structure can be used for any History exam paper.

Grade 9 16-mark Essay (full marks)
I wrote this essay as a practice for the real GCSE examination. After being marked by my teacher, it received full marks (16/16) and takes the form of the 'how far do you agree' 16 mark question that will appear as the last question (Q5/6) in the Early Elizabethan booklet. Whilst the information is specific to the Early Elizabethan England course, the structure of the essay can be used in any GCSE paper that includes a 16 mark essay.
