My Myers Briggs test results said I am an Advocate. An Advocate strives to do what is
right, and focuses on their ideals, and feels the need to find a mission for their lives
(NERIS Analytics Limited, 2019).
I have learned from the Myers Briggs test that I am introverted, intuitive, feeling,
judging, and turbulent. With some of these, I agree entirely, and I can see myself in it.
Others, I do not think it quite matches my personality, or I might have to ask people who
know me better than myself, like my parents.
The test says that I am introverted, and I enjoy more focused "alone time" (NERIS
Analytics Limited, 2019). I consider myself introverted because I like my personal time it
makes me feel calm, comfortable and helps me think better. So, I always choose to spend
time with my family over a party with new people.
The test also said I have a judging personality, meaning that I would rather come up
with five backup plans than deal with conflicts as they come. Which I entirely agree with
this fits the struggle I have working in groups, I do not like planning stuff for the last
moment. I like to make sure I have a backup plan for everything, for example, not being
able to film interviews because of the weather.
I have learned from the Myers Briggs personality test is that I am reluctant to engage
with new people, I like to strive for perfection and that my reason for planning makes me
more introverted than open to discuss new ideas with other people. The test also says
this makes me sensitive to criticism which is true because I put so much effort in my
work by myself that I already find it perfect. I do not like to face criticism and conflict
(NERIS Analytics Limited, 2019).
I will use my test results to see how I can put my strengths over my weaknesses in the
future. I am a creative and insightful person, and I believe these strengths will help me
face criticism and conflicts (NERIS Analytics Limited, 2019). Overall, I believe the test is
more accurate to my personality than inaccurate, and that I can learn a lot from the
weaknesses it made more apparent to me (Parrou & Hall, 2020).
, Reflection feedback:
I find my received feedback, very positive! Something I could improve in my reflection is
a more detailed description of my goals, and what I want to accomplish in the future
with my test result. I think this is important. However, I have not changed my journal
entree upon receiving this feedback. That is because I found the personality test results
and how these link to me, more important than what I could accomplish with them.
Observing the word count, I thought it was important that my examples and
descriptions of feelings and thoughts came back okay.
