Leadership poses to be exciting and challenging every time we are considering ethical practicesin this field. It has been growing theoretically, empirically as well as in terms of policies. One of

the level of ethics affecting leadership contributes to their overall success.
In critical studies on leadership, it is suggested that once placed in a leader's position, and
remaining ethical can be challenging. Mainstream leadership studies appreciate power as an
aspect of influence. This is because it also attaches to the ethical conduct of leaders. When an
individual is up to control, guide, and organize others' actions, whether to do right or wrong
becomes inevitable. Whether to act on self-interest or selflessly, an upright leader should always
practice self-control to resist any form of temptations that may come with their positions.
Analysis on leadership and ethics suggests that a good leader is one that does the right thing and
in the proper manner and, of course, for the right reasons Ciulla, (2005). Leaders' psychological
challenges and roles are among the general questions on what it takes to be a good leader. The
three moral facets of ethical leaders are; the ethics of what a leader does, the moral lesson of
actions leaders take, and how a leader does things.
