The Sun Is Also A Star
Natalie and Daniel meet on the day Natalie has
to leave America because she is an
undocumented immigrant, and the day Daniel
has an interview for Yale, Daniel bets he can
make her fall in love in one day.
I had to read this book for Cambridge and even
though it’s not the best book I have read, I still
liked it. It’s a bit standard and cliché, a boy and
a girl meet and fall in love. But the way it’s written is very nice
to read, it keeps switching from point of view.

Little Women
This book is about a family during the
American civil war. The four sisters in the
family all have different talents, Meg is an
actress, Jo is a writer, Beth is a pianist and
Amy is an artist.
I read this book because I saw that the cast of
the movie had a lot of my favourite actors, so I
wanted to read the book first before I saw the
movie. And I enjoyed reading it a lot, so I got the book for my
best friend as a birthday present because she loves to read.
Another thing I like about this book is that the main character,
Jo, doesn’t end up with the love interest, Laurie, but stays an
independent woman. Because the publisher didn’t want to
publish her book since it was about women and not men.
Eventually the youngest sister, Amy, ends up with Jamie
though.

The Truman Show (1998)
The Truman Show is a show where Truman’s
life gets broadcasted 24/7 everywhere in the
world, except he has no idea because he lives
on an isolated island with actors where
everything is planned so he doesn’t find out.
My sister made me watch The Truman Show
because it’s her favourite movie ever, and now
it is also one of my favourites. I definitely
recommend this movie because it’s funny but also serious.
