For this P I’m going to develop a marketing for a product that I will create. For
this product I will say the segmentation criteria and explain them, I will also
make a marketing mix with the use of the four Ps because I will pick a product
instead of a service.
The product that I will be making is a television with the ability to transfer smell
into the living room. The segmentation criteria for this product are: demographic,
psychographic and finally geographic. the first segmentation, demographic is a
segmentation because to sell your it’s important to what age and gender you
need to focus on when selling your product because people of a certain age are
most likely to buy your product. The second segmentation is psychographic this
is a segmentation because for the marketing of your product you need to know
to what kind of people you want to sell your product, so you need to know what
the lifestyle is of the people you will focus on. The final segmentation is
geographic because you also need to know on what places you need to sell your
product according to the way people in certain area’s spend their money. I will
go deeper into the segmentation part in my M3 assignment which is connected to
this P6. Now I will make a marketing mix according to the four Ps which are
Product, Price, place and Promotion.
Four Ps explanation
Product The television will be a TV which is able to
transfer that’s around in let’s say a movie into
the living room where the TV is placed. It will
also be able to go in 3D mode and just as a
normal TV. It is also a SmartTV which means
that you can also download apps on it like
YouTube. It also has a full HD display and it has
a curved screen
Price This tv will cost around €1.250,- this is because
a lot of tv’s with the same specifications cost
around €750. And because this TV is new and
innovative with the new technology that you
can ask more for your TV. And because of the
money invested and because of the costs of
making the tv you can ask around this amount
of money
Place The TV’s will be sold in technology stores like
the MediaMarkt. It will be sold there because a
lot of people will just come there to look at
certain products so your TV will be recognizable
for a lot of people. It will be sold in the
MediaMarkt as a store in store way this is also
to gain brand awareness.
Promotion The promotion will be done on TV in the way of
commercials. There also will be banners on the
computers on sites like YouTube. We will also make
a store in store as said earlier this store need to
stand out with let’s say a lot of bright collars so it will
