Problem: Instantaneous Help Needed by Freshmen:
Generally, it is seen that freshmen have a lot of queries regarding one or the other thing. In
Georgian, in my opinion, there is a lack of a kind of service that would instantaneously help
them. Georgian College should implement such a service that would offer immediate
assistance to students. This would perhaps help them with any questions or concerns they
may have regarding their studies. For instance, a student in the first semester may have a
question regarding one of the assignments or have other concerns related to the task, but the
work is due in three hours and he is not known to any other service at Georgian. Also, since it
is night, sending the professor an email won't be effective because one might not receive a
response before the deadline.
Solutions and Alternatives: Support Buttons
As a new student at the college, I believe that many students experienced a challenge which
was the need for immediate support from someone from the college who may offer them the
necessary guidance or advice. Newcomers to our college are generally very satisfied with the
facilities and services offered by the college faculty and staff. But sometimes, students feel
stressed if any of their doubt regarding their studies is not solved. To relieve them from this
stress a service of the ‘Live chat or Help Buttons’ should be offered to students to help them
get to answer their queries. Although a Chat On service is already available to the students,
but it is accessible for a long yet limited period and is just for library assistance. There might
be two approaches to this issue. One is the application of such an assistance button on the
campus's website, which has 24-hour availability. This is because many students work on
their assignments at night as well. Besides this, the Chat On service's availability may be
extended in terms of both time and type of service so that students may get their questions
answered, especially when they are pressed for time.
Conclusions and Recommendations:
In conclusion, I recommend Georgian, the application of such Help buttons on its website so
that newcomers would be at ease. This will assist pupils to get more involved in their
academics to a greater level. In addition, this will perhaps act as a sound factor for the
campus. Also, content and happy learners are always the foundation of entire campus’
gratitude. Addressing their concerns may help them relieve their stress and perhaps allow
them to learn innovative things. This will enable them to achieve their goals effectively and
efficiently while having confidence in themselves. At last, if my thoughts are taken into
consideration, in any way, I would be highly obliged. Kindly review the problem I presented
along with its potential remedies.
