Although his sister was highly concerned about his cognitive decline, the patient himself did
not appear worried about his condition. As a result, he did not express any complaints about
how his problems affect him or in what ways they limit him in his daily life, as if he was not
facing any difficulties at all. Therefore, we do not have a clear picture of how burdened his
daily life activities are. Due to the limited answers provided by the patient, the clinical
interview ended quickly without offering a good insight into his cognitive deficits. For this
reason, obtaining further information from the patient's social environment is crucial.............2

1. Patient information
A 61 year-old, highly educated man who used to work as an independent financial advisor
was referred to the neurology department because he could not take care of himself any
longer. According to his sister, his cognitive functions had been decreasing for two years,
with the most significant decline in the last year. She further suspects he has been facing
financial problems for a long time, and it was clear to those around him that their support and
assistance were no longer enough.

2. The clinical interview
The clinical interview did not provide much information about the patient's daily difficulties,
mainly because of his inability to attend to the neuropsychologist's questions. For instance, he
often deviated from the questions or discussed irrelevant topics. In addition, despite his effort,
