1. Explain in your own words in three sentences for each concept, what the following
concepts mean, provide an in-text reference from any source for each of them, where
these are discussed.
1.1Social learning (5)
Social learning is the process by which people gain knowledge, attitudes, and
behaviours by seeing and copying others. According to Bandura (1977), social
learning theory emphasizes the role of observational learning, modelling, and
reinforcement in moulding human behaviour. It implies that individuals learn by the
experiences and behaviours of others in their social context.
1.2 Ethical culture (5)
Ethical culture refers to the values, beliefs, and practices that influence individuals
and organizations in their ethical behaviour. It refers to the standards and practices
that encourage ethical decision-making and behaviour within an organisation. Ethical
culture, according to Trevio and Nelson (2016), is critical for encouraging ethical
behaviour and eliminating unethical behaviour in organisations .
1.3Professionalism. (5)
Professionalism refers to the behaviour, attitudes, and qualities that are required of
people in a given profession. It entails upholding ethical norms, exhibiting skill, and
demonstrating a high level of integrity and accountability. Professionalism, according
to Sullivan and Decker (2009), includes qualities such as honesty, respect,
responsibility, and a dedication to ongoing learning and progress.

2.1 What are situational moderators. (10)
Situational moderators refer to the factors within the work context that influence
one's position within the organization, including organizational culture and the
immediate job context. Situational moderators are elements or variables that,
depending on the environment or context, may have an impact on the association
between two or more variables. They can either make the association between the
variables stronger or weaker. We can better understand when and under what
circumstances specific relationships are true by using situational moderators
(Snyman:24).
