P4: Explain how organizatons obtain the cooperaton of their employees.
A contract of employment is the contract that is made between the employer and employee. Employee is a
person who works for another person or company in order to get wages or salaries. Employer is a person,
that employs people for work and he/she is going to pay them salary or wages on the agreed contract. Most
of the businesses will have contractual enttlements. Contractual enttlements are the rules, which have
been included in the contract and have been signed by the employee, before startng the job. The contract
has been signed in order to make the employee follow the rules, that have been set by the owner of a
business. Every employee has her/his rights that each employee will look at and if an employee Is not
following them, then he/she might get a warning, then a noticaton and then the employee might be ired.
The UK has its own minimum wage, that employer must pay to the worker. If he/she is not following the
rule that has been set by Government, then there are going to be huge ines to the company. So, the Lux
Chocs Ltd must pay per hour to the worker if he/she under 18 at least £3.87, if 18 to 20 at least £ 5.30.
However, if a worker is over 21, then company must pay to him/her at least £6.70. Bellow, there is a
screenshot of the informaton, that has been produced by the UK government. Lux Chocs Ltd must follow
the government informaton, unless they want to receive ines from the Government.
Holidays, is another contractual right that most of the employees would get. Holidays – is basically the tme
that an employee is paid as part of their contract to go on holidays for a short period of tme. This is a usual
reward method within most part tme and full tme contracts. The Lux Chocs Ltd gives holidays to their
workers. The main idea for giving holidays to the workers is to make them happier, so they are more
efcient and to give them rest, because employees are not machines. Through the contract, when the
worker is on holidays, the Lux Chocs Ltd will pay the worker, without him/her being at the work. If a worker
is working 5 days a week, then he is enttled to have approximately 4 weeks holiday from work. Even if a
worker is working part-tme, then he/she will stll get holidays. From the picture bellow, you can see the
same informaton about the holidays.
