P1: Identify sources of information to the career path.The first career information source which can help me identify my career path is
work experience. Work experience can help me identify my career path, because
you can see what jobs i already have done and if I enjoyed these jobs. It would
help identify if the role or sector suits me in which I did my job or internship and if
this is something I can do the rest of my life. Work experience is helpful within a
career path because it gives you a clear view at what you already have
experienced when performing a job and if you like it enough to do it for the rest
of your career. Information that can be obtained from working experience is; if
you are enjoying the job, if your salary covers your expenses and if you want to
carry on working within the same sector. I will use this information in planning my
career path by; knowing if I like a certain job I already did I will know that I want
to do this in the future.
The second career information source I will be using is advice from my cousins.
Advice from elder people who have been through this kinds of situation can help
me a lot because they can tell me what they did and how they came to their
decision at the end. They can help me identify what kind of things I am looking for
in a job and advise me what jobs there are and they also know which jobs are
relevant these days and which will still be relevant. A few examples of detailed
information that can be obtained from this type of source are; how they came to
the decision which job they wanted to do. I will use this source in planning my
career path by asking my cousin who has studied Management Economics and
Law how he came to the decision which course he wanted to follow after his MBO
course and how he came to the decision which job he wanted after the course.
Maybe the way he found which course or job he wanted to do can also work for
me.
The third career information source I can use is information at job centers. This
course can give specific information about open vacancies in my town and they
can also help you find a job that suits you the most. This will help my career path,
because I will be speaking to people who guide and advice others in their career
path. Job center employees always know what kind of skills are required for a
specific job and if that certain job I have in mind suits me. Besides that they also
know which jobs are relevant these days or where you can earn a lot of money.
Specific information job centers can provide me is; advise for a job search. With
this they will help me step by step figure out which job suits me and help me
, apply for the job. They also give information about current open vacancies on
which I can apply. I will use the information gained from this source in planning
my career by; knowing how the process of searching and applying for a job goes.
A personal coach will help me identify the job which suits me and help me apply
for it this way I will know the next time how to do it myself. Besides that I will
have the perfect job which suits my qualities so I can gain some work experience.
The fourth career information source I can use is the career service at school or
any school I would like to follow a course at. This source can give me information
about the courses I can follow after I finished my MBO, besides that they can also
help me apply for the course. This source can be helpful for planning my career
because, they people that help are former students or are students that are still
studying so they know what they did when they were in this type of situation
when they had to decide which course or job they wanted to do. And they can
also help me identify the job that suits me the best so I don’t waste time looking
into a job which I can’t do. Detailed information which can be obtained from this
source is; information about different types of careers and the qualifications
needed for that particular kind. They also know local businesses which are looking
for an employee with particular kinds of skills. Career services can also give a
career test which shows which jobs suits the best for you by answering all the
question in the test. They also organize try outs for courses so students can obtain
information about courses they are interested in. I will use the information gained
from this source in planning my career by; making a career path test so that I
know which jobs the test thinks suits me the most and I will also visit several
tryout days and talk with students from their what they think about the courses
they are following.
The fifth source that can help me get information about my career path is; social
media. Social media can help you interact with employers within your region who
are searching for employees. Social media like LinkedIn or instagram can give you
a look into companies who are looking for employees and what type of employee
they are asking for. This information source can be helpful for me because it can
introduce me to a job where I can gain a lot of experience in business so I can
start my own company. Other information that can be obtained from this source
is; scheduled business meetings or gala`s. some companies post videos of
business meetings where everyone can come to get information about their
company. I will use this source of information by searching for a job where I can
