For each chapter in the novel, I have picked out what I believe to be the 5 most key quotations and listed these underneath the chapter heading. I have then noted some bullet points on the plot development, character development and links to the wider crime genre for each chapter. A great revision tool; can be used as a replacement for reading/re-reading the novel. Helped me to achieve an A*.

Key quotes for all the main criminals, victims and "detective". Also quote banks for various key themes e.g. punishment/resolution and law, order and the judicial system. Past and potential future exam questions are also included above the relevant quote bank.

Document summaries the contextual underpinnings of Brighton Rock, particularly how the contemporary urbanisation led to problems with poverty and increased crime rates. Notes also extract key points from the novel's introduction and explore Greene's inspiration for the novel, providing a greater insight to the themes presented in Brighton Rock and the social commentary Greene intended to convey.
