Four documents outlining all the notes I made during the first year of my joint honours Film and Creative Writing degree at Lancaster University. I got a first in my first year from these notes. Each document covers a different module: LICA101 (arts overview), LICA102 (British film), LICA150 (Film), and CREW103 (Creative Writing).

A compilation of all the notes I made during the CREW103 module at Lancaster University. It covers the basics of writing as well as some information about the coursework. I got a first in my first year. The document includes all the notes I made during lectures and seminars during my first year creative writing course. It does not include any of my own or anyone else's writing, or details of any of the practice exercises we completed during the course.

All my lecture notes from the LICA102 module at Lancaster University. The module covers British cinema, from Simon and Laura (1955) to Blinded by the Light (2019). A compilation of all the notes I made during the LICA101 module at Lancaster University. Includes everything I wrote during lectures and some additions from seminars. Does not include my answers to the workbook, or any essays or personal reflections that I submitted as coursework.

A 20 mark essay answering the question: "Digital technologies have expanded our sense of what a documentary is. How far is this true in relation to your chosen film?" My chosen film is Amy (Kapadia, 2015). This essay was graded at 17/20, which is the equivalent of an A. I have also included feedback of things that could elevate the essay.

A 40 mark essay answering the question "Explore some of the reasons why spectators may respond in very different ways to the same character. Refer in detail to at least one character from each of your chosen films." My chosen films are La La Land and Captain Fantastic. This essay got a mark of 36/40, which is equivalent to an A. I have also included the feedback I got which would have elevated my answer.

A 40 mark essay answering the question "Compare how far the two films you have studied [Vertigo and One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest] reflect the times in which they were made." My answer got 35/40, which is the equivalent of an A. I have also included the feedback I received which would have elevated my answer.

A Level British Film summary, focused on Shaun of the Dead and Sightseers. Contains notes analysis of both films, an explanation on narrative theories and how to apply them to the films, an explanation of ideology and the ideologies present in the films, and a character study of Tina and Shaun (with a comparison between the two).
