QUESTION 1
Fiction
Fiction can be defined as a writing that is portrayed from one’s imagination and it is unreal such
as novels and short stories.
There are two types of fiction, which is fantasy and realism. These two types of fiction differ as
fantasy is about fantasizing or dreaming or thinking about something that it is not there or does
not exist like fairytales. This type of fiction is all about imagination. Then there is a realism
fiction, this type of fiction is about stories that seem to be real but are not, it can be about stories
that are based on real life but those stories are not true, realism can also differ as some stories
may be close to life, and this can be a type of story that is close to life as if it is an event that took
place in real life but it is not, and there is a less close to life realism, which is based on stories
with imaginary characters set in real life or real world. The reader may see the story as if it is
true to life but it is all imagination and it is based on facts.
Non – fiction
This is writing that is based on facts or a writing that is based on real events and it is or it can be
very informative.

Non – fiction it can be a book that teach children about the history of our country or a certain
person and it should be accurate as it teaches or as it informs children about and event that took
place. Illustrations is also important on a non-fiction as it can give a piece of important
information about how people from the past lived their life.
Speeches

something as well, it is also based on facts and truth example of this fiction it can be the speech
about Mr. President Ramaphosa addressing the nation about COVID – 19. The speech is about
