Teachers hold a special position in society due to their role in educating and influencing the next
generation. This unique role comes with significant ethical considerations:
• Teachers have a professional responsibility to prioritize students' well-being and educational
development. They must maintain confidentiality, ensure fairness, and create an inclusive learning
environment.
• Due to the power dynamics, teachers must use their authority responsibly, avoiding exploitation or
mistreatment of students.
• Ethical dilemmas often arise from balancing student needs. Teachers must make decisions
considering both individual and collective interests.
• Teachers must show respect for diversity, understanding and appreciating students' diverse
backgrounds and beliefs. They should foster an environment where different perspectives are
valued.
• Teachers have an ethical obligation to engage in continuous professional development, staying
