Keep a record of your plans so that you can see if you are making progress in achieving them. Draw up
a schedule or spreadsheet – this will help you meet deadlines and due dates
1.2 Admission requirements for degree, diploma or higher certificate

Admission point score (APS) system gives points for the marks you get in your NSC examinations.
Admission to higher learning institutions depends on the total number of points you obtain.
Most institutions have their own admission requirements for specific programmes.
In order to make a decision – you need to do the following:
Decide where you want to study. Get familiar with the courses and degree programmes
Check if you comply: do u have correct subjects and meet requirements?
Get application form and fill it in and send forms well in advance of the closing date
Make sure you include all relevant documents
Apply to more than one institution
Additional requirements
Most courses have additional requirements, such as a minimum mark in certain subjects. Some
institutions have their own selections test or may ask you to attend an interview.
