In order to meet the information needs of the target group in our information agency, the information literacy
instruction program should include the following elements:

knowledge gaps of the target group. This will help in customizing the instruction program to meet the
specific needs of the users.

align with the information needs of the target group. These objectives should be specific, measurable,
achievable, relevant, and time-bound (SMART).
3. Curriculum design: Developing a curriculum that covers the key components of information literacy,
including information seeking strategies, evaluation of sources, citation and referencing, and ethical use of
information. The curriculum should be tailored to the specific needs and interests of the target group.

the users in the learning process and enhancing their retention of the information.
