A. PROFESSIONAL ACUMEN (4 MARKS

In order for the candidate to successfully apply for the position of Head: Internal
Audit, they must possess the necessary qualifications, experience, and skills outlined
in the job advertisement. The candidate must also demonstrate strong

The candidate is required to have a BCom Accounting or BCom Internal Audit
qualification, as well as an Honours degree in Business, Commerce, or Technology.
Additionally, they must be a qualified CA(SA) or CIA. The candidate should have a
minimum of 10-12 years of experience in an internal audit environment, with at least
five years in a senior management position. They should also have knowledge and
experience with the COSO framework, data analytics, governance, risk
management, and compliance, continuous auditing, and project management.
