In this work, I will analyze the topic of the heritage of gender inequality and the reasons of women’s lower position in the modern society. I will explore Virginia Woolf’s essay “A room of one’s own” in which she described the struggle of women in the early 20th century to break into men-dominated areas. I will also examine the reasons there were so few good women novelists, artists, or writers for so long a time.

The aim of this analysis is to examine and uncover implicit statements in the language of Obama's speech delivered to Young people in Brussels in 2014. Under the light of Critical Discourse Analysis based on Fairclough’s analytical framework, to detect examples of linguistic strategies that impose moral or ideological values on people as well as its linguistic features such as vocabulary, grammar, textual structures, rhetorical devices, etc.

In this essay I’ve provided a comparison between brainwashing constituents in Orwell’s 1984 and Today’s World (particularly United States). It helps us gain a deeper insight into the motives and purposes of United States international politic as well as its political ideology.
