is made by researching the company external forces that are beyond their reach. This was done by a
macroeconomic and meso environmental market research. By doing so there was enough usable
data to fill in Porters five forces analysis.
After Porters five forces analysis the company fundamental analysis was made by comparing Wolters
Kluwer current and earlier revenues, gross & net profits, assets, liabilities, operating income, return
on asset & equity, inventories, receivables, and creditors. With doing so, we made a sales and profit
analysis. Here we described from what part in the world the revenue came from and which
department brought the most revenue.
Wolters Kluwer is determent to create a more sustainable work environment by following the
sustainable development goals set by the United Nations.
By combining all the previous giving information and researching which way the market will shift to,
came forth a forecasting chapter. Here we made an analysis with all the key figures in the
fundamental analysis. This forecast is necessary to know where the company stands and which
direction the board of directors want to steer at.
By doing so knowing what the forecast might be, a SWOT-analysis will be made consisting of
strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats. With these key elements you can limit your
chances of failure and increase your opportunities by using your business core strength. By doing so
we have all the information needed to fill in a confrontation matrix. With a SWOT you will identify
your strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats and with a confrontation matrix you compare
each of those elements against each other.
With the result of these elements comparisons, we knew on which subject we needed to grow,
defend, improve, or withdraw. These outcomes will be determined for Wolters Kluwer strategy and
vision.
