Client/Server Architecture and Organizational Fit:
An analysis of the options for new system architecture to fit organizational needs, including how
the migration to the newly chosen architecture aligns with the mission, vision, and business strat
egy of the organization. In other words, how will this choice improve the organization’s competiti
ve advantage and profitability?
ICS is a company that has been innovating artificial intelligence and implementing it
across the globe with headquarters in Dublin Ireland as well as Chicago IL. It has branches
all across the world from Tokyo to New York City; Austin, TX; Minneapolis, MN; and
Seattle, WA, in the United Staes. This company has 150,000 individuals that work for the
company and offices in 120 countries. To say the least this company is an exceptionally large
and prominent company which handles extremely massive quantities of data each day.
With moving all this data and infrastructure to the cloud is a huge undertaking but will be
a way for the company to increase their ability to reach new heights. With the
implementation of software as a service (SaaS) solution, infrastructure as a service (IaaS)
platform, and security services, will give the company limitless data transfer capabilities as
well as keeping the data safe with backups that are across several data centers across the
globe. The cloud will cut down on cost of the data centers while at the same time providing
data at your fingertips with the ability to access data from anywhere with an internet
connection.
The cloud will increase the availability of the system and allow the scalability that the company
will need as it grows. The ability to have more storage and compute power at the push of a
