Synopsis:
Looksmart goes to the farm to see Patricia. Realizes how much Patricia
has changed (aged) Patricia doesn’t recognize him at first.

Cunning: stands in darkness of house “Looksmart does nothing
about it.”
Self-conscious: feels as if he is being watched in the house
(feelings from childhood)
Angry/ resentful: he resents “the old man” – “he finds himself
cheered by the prospect of the old man’s death.”
Hesitant/ confused about his anger: he battles to enter the room
when greeting Patricia
Guilty: looksmart feels guilty for his absence over the years: “he
