BACKGROUND
Marlise Joubert wrote her first poem when she was 7 years old.
She is also a writer of novels and radio dramas.
She also likes to paint.
She currently runs a website with her husband: Versindaba.
THEME
The influence that teachers can have on their learners from a very young age
(reduced word: body).
It is our duty as teachers to use positively the influence we have on children.

place you last read / something you want to remember.
Synonym for "bookmarking" is a bookmark.
o A placeholder in the life of the children.
o The teacher wants / needs to bookmark the children (connotatively /
figuratively) so that when they think back to their school years, they
must remember how nice it was.
The children should be able to take it with them throughout their
lives.
