, 1. Introduction
The assignment below will cover aspects of the Family Life Cycle Model. It will cover the
following regarding the family’s relationship; their demographic details, such as age, gender,
family constellation, ethnic group, duration of their union, occupations, status in the
community and background history. The assignment will be about explaining the family life
cycle model, the key principles of each stage and changes at each stage. It will also explain
a comparison of the experiences of changes mentioned by your couple with those specified
in Carter and McGoldrick’s model (1989) and provide explanations for the differences. I will
also be discussing some of the vertical stressors and significant horizontal stressors as well
as significant factors that affect the couple’s relationship, such as sociocultural, political,
economic and community issues, as well as extended family and what they identified as their
behavioural strengths and then add your own observations, linking these to the practice of
healthy behaviours of healthy couples.
