1.1. a) The social constructivism theory states that knowledge evolves through the
process of social interactions and the self-evaluation of the individuals’
understanding. This means that every interaction between two or more people
will present an opportunity for the acquisition of new knowledge, or for current
knowledge to be expanded.
b) Both focus on the interests of the leaners rather than the teachers or those
who design the teaching process.

2.1. a) Self image is the way that you see yourself. If you were to describe yourself,
your self-image would e=be the description. It is like having a picture in your hea about
how you see yourself and how you would describe yourself.

i) Topic: Puberty
ii) It will be an individual activity.
iii) The purpose of the activity will be to gain skills in understanding emotional and
physical changes and how to resect yourself during puberty.
iv) Informal, self- assessment.
v) Read through the diary entry of the boy who is confused about puberty. Read about
the ways to respect yourself and others and then in your workbook, write dwn how you
can respect yourself in the following ways:
- what you wear
- how you act with friends
- how you misbehave in school
- how you treat your family
- how you talk to people
- what you do when you feel pressured
vi) For the final product of the activity, they will read a diary entry of a boy who is
confused about puberty and write a letter to him and explain that his emotions are
natural and maybe help him understand puberty better.
vii) Self -assessment rubric.
viii) Give learners examples of how they can respect themselves and others while going
though puberty. Discuss the following aspects of how to respect yourself as a class:
- what you wear
- how you act with friends
- how you misbehave in school
- how you treat your family
