• Analytical chemistry is the branch of chemistry dealing
with the separation, identification, and quantification of
the chemical components of natural and artificial
materials.
• The basic knowledge of analytical chemistry is applied
when detecting the presence and determining the
quantities of chemical compounds, such as:
– heavy metals during water purification or
– arsenic in tissue samples.
