, WHAT MOTIVATES PEOPLE TO DO VOLUNTEER WORK?

Abstract

The main purpose for this study is to investigate the reasons why people do volunteer
work. It will focus on both men and women who are over the age of 18 years. In this
case, only three participants were selected for the study. The main aim of the research
it is to find out the motivation behind a certain behaviour – volunteer work. Different
themes of motivation will be discussed and linked to the motivation of each participant.
The study will be a qualitative research study, using thematic analysis to analyse the
data. Individuals will be interviewed and the interview will be recorded and ethical
consideration will be adhered to. Participants will be giving their consent via cellphone
as interviews will be done via cellphone.
