INTRODUCTION


The examination portfolio will define, discuss, explain, and elaborate on the
following: An organisation will be visited, and a company profile will be complied. The
difference between formal and informal networks will be discussed. The formal and
informal channels of communication within the chosen organisation will be identified.
The flow of communication within organisations in general, with specific reference to
upward, downward, and horizontal flow of communication within organisations will be
described with reference from the prescribed book. Additionally, I will explain how I
would you describe the flow of communication in the organisation I visited, and an
organogram of the flow of communication will be drawn. In question three, the
following will be discussed, the difference between the three management
approaches that are often identified in organisations, the communication approach
that is evident in the chosen organisation. Organisational culture and climate will be
defined and differentiated. Also, five elements that exhibit organisational culture will
be elaborated on. Furthermore, the research proposal will be explained, and its steps
identified and discussed as well. Lastly, the communication challenges that are being
experienced in the selected organisation will be described and I will provide
recommendations on how the flow of communication can be managed.
