Education according Merrian-Webster dictionary it is the process of receiving or giving
systematic instruction, especially at school or university. Consider the situation if there were two
individuals, one with highly magnifying spectacles and another of normal spectacles. And be
asked, what they see on table surface. I presume of normal spectacles would say he sees
smooth surface of table, and of highly magnifying spectacles would say he sees rough surface.
Both of them are correct from their point of reference, after all it depends on how individual
views an image.
According society having no educational background the following occurs lack of skills, limited
opportunities, unstable employment, poverty and close minded. Considering the following
individuals Roman Abramovich college dropout, Savitri Jindal no higher education, Paul Allen
university drop, Micheal Dell university drop out and Amancio Ortega no higher education.
Neither of individuals obtained high qualification instead are wealthiest individuals in the world.
And Wright Brothers inventors of first air plane, John Rockerteller successful businessman,
Gregor Mendel discovered genetics all of these individual have showed and changed the course
of our modern humanity. Then what’s your conclusion?
Teachers’ responsibility to promote conducive learning and growth, when educational policy
segregate learners with disabilities from acquiring same education as normal learners. When
the authority implement regulations that overload our teachers, yet expect the best results. The
government keeps on setting the standard for education, instead of focusing on students.
Grades, performance and standard that’s what matters? Learners are not machines. That’s
what government does, focusing on obtaining quality of education. Instead of dealing with
issues that students, teachers faces. After all it depends on how we view situations.
Critical theory emphasizes that all human societies, particularly large and complex ones, are
corrupted and distorted by deep-seated power structures (Higgs & Smith, 2015). Critical theory
emphasizes criticism on power structures that government implement, aim to bring liberation
within the society, changes to free individual from power structures. Critical theory evaluate
situations of who manipulate the curriculum? Who issues regulations? And who control
