Introduction
Communication is an essential aspect of any organization, as it determines how information
is shared, decisions are made, and relationships are built. In this report, we explore the
mechanistic and interactional communication approaches and their implications for
organizational communication. We also examine the rationale for integrating organizational
communication, the key locations in the organization that are centrally important to
communication integration, and the processes for achieving communication integration.
Furthermore, we discuss the role of corporate identity in improving communication
integration and relations with stakeholders. Finally, we analyze Van Riel’s model of
integrated communication measurement to demonstrate how organizations can effectively
plan, implement, and evaluate their communication activities.
