motorcars. The mechanical properties of gases are studied in pneumatics, a branch of mechanics.
1.2. State with reasons the difference that exist between the systems in 1.1. (4)
Hydraulic systems can move heavier weights and exert more force than pneumatic systems, but
pneumatic technology is more environmentally friendly. With pneumatics, which can leak oil or
hydraulic fluid, leaks are less of an issue. Pneumatic systems are low-maintenance and have high life
expectancy.
1.3. Which system in 1.1 mostly applicable to the car breaks? (2)
Hydraulic system. Hydraulic systems deal with vehicle braking systems. which is a two-post lift since
it balance the vehicle at the center and leaves the wheels parts on the outcasts creating more space
for the mechanic to work on.
1.4. Describe the process of fitting the braking systems in a car. (4)
Step 1: Acquire Tools. 3/8" Ratchet/hydraulic jack
Step 2: Ensure you have the Brake Pads And Rotors.
Step 3: Loosen the Lugs.
Step 4: Raise your Car.
Step 5: Loosen the Caliper.
Step 6: Remove the Caliper Carrier.
Step 7: Remove the Rotor.
Step 8: Install your New Rotor.
Step 9: Assemble Carrier
Step 10: Compress Caliper
Step 11: Install Pads and Caliper Step 12: Put On Wheels.
Step 13: Repeat for All 4 Wheels
Step 14: Pump Brakes Until Pressure Is Reached
Step 15: Break in Pads and Braking System
