, 1. INTRODUCTION
This essay aims to define the concept and practice of globalization with its effects
and challenges. In addition, the paper will also emphasize the role of society in
globalization, as well as the responses of societies in the global south to the effects
and challenges of globalization. The emphasis of this essay will be on the
incorporation of human activities beyond national boundaries otherwise in the
societies of the southern hemisphere. The global community refers to the regions of
Africa, Asia and Latin America that are referred to as the third world. These societies
are also known as lowly and populous nations and were once isolated from affluent
countries and continents (Dados 2012: 12)
2 THE CONCEPT AND PROCESS OF GLOBALISATION
Giddens 2020 (as in Chile and Senescallo 2019: 54) defines globalization as an
intricate multidimensional process, a dialectical connection between the global and
the local, which includes "oblique lines", the destruction of state borders and the
creation of new ones International organizations (including transnational
corporations, multilateral organizations and intercontinental NGOs).
Globalization generally refers to the increasing interconnectedness of different parts
of the world contributing to cutting-edge communication, information, and
transportation technologies. The concept of "globalization" means the increasing
incorporation of human activities beyond national borders. This analysis differs from
the view of globalization in the press and popular media, which often limit the
concept to global economic institutions run by multinationals and global capitalism.
Rodhan and Stoudmann (2016: 3) argue that globalization can be seen as an
international order that includes economic fusion, transfer of policies across borders,
transmission of knowledge, cultural solidity, reproduction, business and development
power speech.
Internal globalization creates organizations abroad through the free movement of
capital, trade, data, culture and people. In addition, the phenomenon of business
expansion is allowing the mobilization of resources in the states to make the most of
them for the growth of the whole world.
