QUESTION 1
1.1
The acquisition of a language begins at birth. Children will recognize the sound of their
parents even when they are just a few days old. The child will understand the language you
and your spouse speak. They will be able to distinguish themselves from other children.
When a child is 12 years old, they will be able to distinguish the sound of the language they
have learned. A child hears and get attached to the sound of their own language. They will be
able to understand the language but not speak at first, they will begin speaking at the age of
10 months.
They will begin to learn new vocabulary every day as they grow up. The child will speak
fluent to their own language at the age of 7. After the age of 7 it will become difficult to learn
new language. All children master the grammatical system of their home language because
before they go to school which means they can communicate and understand what is said to
them.
Children learn language from adults. A human has an innate ability to acquire language. A
human has a special ability for learning language.
If not properly understood, teaching in a multicultural classroom can be challenging. The
teacher must recognize that the educational materials utilized in the classroom should be
appropriate for the students' abilities. A diagnostic exam can be used by the teacher to assess
the learners' abilities. This will assist the teacher in determining the language's degree of
comprehension.
Additionally, teamwork should be fostered. The teacher should use the information from the
evaluation to divide the students into groups, with at least one strong kid in each group. This
would assist the learners in scaffolding. Learners who are shy or uncomfortable learning
alone will be able to express themselves better this way. This can also assist in bringing the
students up to speed.
The teacher should be patient with the students, as learning may take longer than teaching a
native language to native speakers. During learning, there will be a lot of mixing of codes;
this should be considered as a positive because the learners are attempting to build a dialogue
but do not yet have all the terminology.
When teaching a language to learners who do not speak the language, knowing a little about
the learner's background or knowing some of the other languages will be quite beneficial.
You will be able to comprehend and relate to the learner better this manner. The teacher's
attitude and perspective on the language is equally critical, as it moulds the learners'
perceptions of it. When teaching languages, the teacher should constantly endeavour to be
helpful and understanding.
