Title: Jane and Rochie: Written in the Stars? Analysing the star signs and compatibility of
Jane Eyre and Mr Rochester, from Charlotte Bronte’s Jane Eyre.
Content: I will explore the big three signs for Jane Eyre and Mr Rochester and then I will
then use these to construct a compatibility analysis. I may also allocate a sun sign to some of
the smaller characters (e.g. Adele, Mrs Fairfax, Bertha Mason…)
Jane sun: Virgo. (Logical and hardworking in their life approach; isn’t afraid to improve
through diligent and consistent practice; hyper-aware of detail; deals with information like a
computer; practical helper; excellent teachers and healers; overly critical of self and others;
all work no play; dislikes taking center stage; tender heart often closed to the world; doesn’t
lack the ability to express, just won’t accept feelings as relevant when opposed to reason.)
Jane moon: Scorpio. (Feelings come with a strong current; lots of tough emotional
lessons; loyal; exudes a trustworthiness that draws people into your confidence; few
people can make you feel safe enough to reveal your emotions; when it comes to desire,
you’re hot or you’re not; hard person to get to know; loyal and loving; calm advisor in
times of stress.)
