Assignment 2 – 755130

Question 1

It is necessary for a teacher to know the developmental level of the different age groups in school,
because it enables them to find ways on how to improve the learners development skills. Each age
group is different and they learn in different paces. When a teacher knows about the different level
of development of the age group, the teacher could properly assessed whether a child has learning
problems and then can help with the problems. The teacher would know how to communicate with
the age group. Each age group communicates differently. Where grade 1 is soft and smoothing and
grade 3 more mature. The teacher would know how to solve the problems in the classroom. Grade 1
will have different kinds of problems than grade 2 or 3. The age groups absorb and evaluate
information differently, therefore the teacher has to know how to give the information so that they
understand. The teacher should know how to interact with the age group and also teach them how
to help themselves and also self-control. The teacher helps them to understand and use language.
The teachers helps the age group to use their small muscles so that they can learn how to write in
different styles. The teachers also help the different age groups to use their bigger muscles to move
around and to sit properly in class. As we know there are 4 development levels and each of them
play a very important role. The development levels are physical, socio-emotional, cognitive and
Language development. It is very important for a teacher to know the development levels of
different age groups, because each age group do things different and their brains also work
different. Each age group can learn different amount of work and new stuff. This is why a teacher
has to know the development level of different age groups.
