Kommunikasie in ons samelewing:
-Beter tegnologie kan nie alleen lei tot beter kommunikasie nie.
-Tradisionele taalonderwys het n groot bydra gedra tot die
verswaking en verwaarlosing van kommunikatiewe vaardighede.
-Onderwyser moet n meer “kommunikatiewe benadering tot
taalonderrig” het.
Kommunikasie doelwitte:
-Daar is 3 verskillende soorte kommunikasie doelwitte, naamlik
“Oorredend, Informatief, Instruktief”
-Ons gebruik kommunikasie daagliks om inligting oor sake of gebeure
oor te dra. Dis ook die doel van baie “boeke, tydskrifte en brosjures”.
-Tekste soos “voorgeskrewe boeke, nuusberigte in koerante” verwys ons
as “Informatiewe tekste”.
-In “gebruiksaanwysings of handleidings” kry ons gewoontlik instruksies
oor hoe om sekere dinge te doen of dit te voltooi. Ons gebruik
kommunikasie om instruksies aan ander oor te dra of te gee.
Tekste wat instruksies gee oor hoe om sekere dinge te doen, verwys ons
as “Instruktiewe tekste”.
-“Politieke toesprake, voorligtingstekste, advertensies” word dikwels
gebruik om mense te oorreed of oor te haal tot n sekere standpunt.
Ons gebruik daagliks kommunikasie om ander te oorreed. Hierdie
tekste verwys ons as “Oorredende tekste”.
Kriteria vir suksesvolle kommunikasie:
-Die kwaliteit van kommunikasie kan getoets word, deur die
kommunikasie te onderskei tussen 3 kriteria:
“ Steenhouder e.a. (1992:15)”
1. Die effektiwiteit of doeltreffendheid: die mate waarin die
beoogde doel bereik word.
2. Die doelmatigheid: die gemak waarmee die
kommunikasieverloop.
3. Die aanvaarbaarheid: die vraag of daar in die kommunikasie
gehou word by sosiale en etiese norme.
