Why you have chosen this syllabus type.
To guarantee that students' requirements are adequately met, I have chosen to adopt a multi-syllabus approach as it
enables me to use multiple teaching materials to provide a well-rounded and comprehensive language learning
experience. Instead of relying on a single textbook or syllabus, I can use a variety of authentic materials to support
language learning. This syllabus enables me to choose resources that are specific to Alberto's needs and interests,
which can boost engagement and motivation. It allows for a more personalized learning experience.
According to the information gathered from the questionnaire and interview, the main emphasis of this course will be
on speaking, listening, vocabulary, pronunciation, and reading on topics that interest Alberto, with a focus on skills
needed in the workplace, such as interviewing for jobs and correct pronunciation of work-related vocabulary. With
the multi-syllabus approach, Alberto's needs and goals will be accommodated and he will be able to develop in all
aspects of his language skills. This approach will offer a more diverse and engaging language learning experience,
the receptive skills will also involve listening for specific information while gisting, scanning, and skimming. The
student's questionnaire revealed that he has strong writing abilities, but we will nevertheless add a writing assignment
to double-check and polish his grammar, which he reported having studied for around 8 years.
