Why have I chosen this syllabus type?
I have chosen the multi-syllabus because this allows the student to be assisted with
multiple skills and topics and will further allow the teacher to be able to make use of
authentic materials. A multi-syllabus allows for a combination of language items such as
grammar, pronunciation, and vocabulary that can be included in the lessons. I feel that
this is vital to the student’s needs and will help guide the teacher to ensure that Alberto's
needs are met and help improve his language in each lesson. The multi-syllabus allows the
teacher to help focus on his progress and where he may be struggling.
Why have I chosen the topics covered?
I have decided to base the topics according to his needs and topics he is interested in. He
is interested in science, employment, technology, the environment, and current affairs.
