INTRODUCTION
We hope that you are enjoying the module thus far. This document contains your fifth
assignment for MNP3701. The assignment covers learning units one to ten. As this is an online
module, you must submit your assignment online. No assignments will be accepted via post or
email.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
Please take note of the following important information before attempting the assessment:
• This assessment contributes 40% towards your final mark and counts 40 marks.
• We recommend that you plan to spend about 5 -10 hours completing this assessment.
• Make sure to adhere to all the technical requirements of this assessment. That includes
using the correct cover page (uploaded along with the assessment document). Herein you
declare that you have NOT committed plagiarism, uploaded the final and correct version of
your assessment, and acknowledged that no late submissions would be accepted.
Assessments without the right cover page will not be marked.
• Please clearly number each question and sub-question. You are responsible for
ensuring that the assessment is legible and easy to follow for markers. Therefore, please
take some time to submit a well-structured assessment.
• Information on the due date of this assessment is presented in the section below.
• As you know, this module follows the continuous assessment model; therefore, there is NO
supplementary examination or FI concession for MNP3701. Should you fail the module this
semester, you will need to re-register for the next semester. Therefore, we strongly urge
you to take enough time to complete the assessment to ensure you pass the module.
ASSIGNMENT DUE DATE
We advise you NOT to wait until the last minute before starting your assignment.
The assignment’s due date is 5 October 2022 at 11:00 pm (23:00). You will be penalised if
you submit your assignment late. The following penalties will apply:
• The system allows for a grace period of 30 minutes after the due date, i.e., 5 October 2022
at 11:30 pm. If you submit during this grace period, two marks will be deducted from your
final mark.
• After the grace period, no extensions will be granted, and no late submissions will be
allowed. We expect students to take full responsibility for their studies at the third-year
level. Therefore, we urge you to plan ahead. Do not wait until the last minute to submit this
assessment.
