among community members, organizations, and local institutions to identify
and address community needs, promote social cohesion, and improve the

At its core, community development involves active participation and
engagement from community members themselves, who play a central role
in identifying their own needs, assets, and aspirations. It recognizes the
importance of local knowledge, experiences, and values, valuing the diversity
and strengths that exist within the community.
Collaboration is a key element of community development, as it brings
together various stakeholders including community members, organizations,
