• In the presentation stage the learners will be exposed to the

learn the meaning, form, and pronunciation of the first
conditional.
• The learners will take part of controlled activities (2 activities)
that will improve their accuracy. They will then take part of a
freer practice activity to improve their fluency.
Students would already know present simple, present continuous, past
simple for common verbs, and would be familiar with will for future
Nationality/First events.

Language: They would be familiar with grammatical terminology such as the
names of the tenses they already know, subject, auxiliary verb,
negative form, etc.

practice to fill a first conditional sentence, placing the ‘If’ and ‘Will’
in the right places.
• Since the learners are A2, they may switch to Spanish during
the lesson.
Length of Lesson: 60 mins Anticipated Problems: To keep the learners focused on the target language, the teacher
will walk around and monitor the learners, making sure they
continue to speak in English.
• Since the learners are Spanish, which is “Syllable-timed-
language” the learners may struggle with word stress, and
which words are important resulting in the learners talking very
monotonous and with the same speed.
To remedy this, the learners will do choral exercises, repeating
sentences and where the teacher will say the sentence, stressing
the correct words and syllables and with different rises falls in
tone, the learners will repeat this, copying the teacher to get an
