1.1 Identify any rectangular object in your surroundings or locality.
a) Draw the object in the third orthographic angle projection. (7)

b) Explain in detail the steps you followed in drawing the object.
The steps followed in question 1:
i. Choose a front view. This is the perspective that reveals the most
information about the object.
ii. Determine the number of views required to fully describe the object. If you
can't figure out which views, you'll need, draw standard views (front, top
and right side)
, iii. Sketch the visible characteristics of the front view.
iv. Extend projectors both horizontally and vertically from the front view to create
boundaries for the top and right-side views.
v. Generate a top view and fill in the apparent and hidden elements using the
vertical projectors.
vi. Revert to the front perspective by projecting from the top view and add any
missing visible or hidden features in the front view using vertical projectors.
vii. In the upper right corner of the box containing the front view, draw a 45º
projector.
viii. Establish the borders of the right-side view by drawing projectors over the 45º
line and downwards from the top view.
ix. The Plan View of the L-shape is illustrated as a 'bird's eye' view, i.e., a view
from above.
The Front View is portrayed as if you are standing in front of the L-shape. The
Side View is depicted as if you are standing at its side. They have been drawn
with great precision, utilizing T-Squares and set squares.
x. If needed, project back to the top and front views from the right-side view.
